Q: What learning experiences will you be offering for Smith’s Corner Farm School?
A: Our Homeschool Experience sessions will cover Science, Art, Gym and Social Studies. A full list of our Homeschool Experience lesson topics are listed on our Facebook page under Notes tab. Our Storytime, Mindfulness and G.O.A.T.Story.Time. are experiences are meant for parents and children to do together!
Q: Where will the experiences take place?
A: We are welcoming these experiences to take place at our private residence,Smith’s Corner Farm in Pipersville PA home to our family farm business Namaaaste Goat Yoga. Experiences will be held in our outdoor classroom, tent (heated in colder weather), barn, fields and near our pond! We do have a swing set play area as well!
Q: Who will be teaching?
A: Our teacher will be Eileen Bowden, M.Ed a former CR teacher with over 20 years experience. Eileen is also a homeschooling mom too! Having taken the leap to homeschooling almost five years ago! Eileen’s other experiences include creating Mommy and Me classes, Storytime events for community and businesses, and teaching virtual classes. As a certified yoga instructor she also teaches weekly yoga classes.
Q: Can the homeschool experience lessons be included in my child’s homeschool portfolio?
A: Yes, all our lessons can be included in your child's homeschool portfolio and we provide all documentation!
Q: What are the hours for the Homeschool Experiences?
Q: Will there be experiences for younger children?
A: Yes! These experiences will be offered on Wednesdays/Fridays. We will release these event times/dates in August with full description and pricing.
But in a nutshell, our Storytime is your typical theme based storytime with parachute play and some sensory box experiences for children infant to 4.
Our Mindfulness experiences are for children/parents and include yoga, meditation and some classes with our animals!
G.O.A.T. Story.Time. is reading books/stories to goats! Each child picks a few books (we have all levels from infant to 4th grade) and they sit with our goats and read to them. I help guide students with their reading and give tips to parents to help reading readiness and emerging reading skills at home.
We will also be offering special one time events more centered around the holidays and such. These will be released monthly starting in September.
Q: What is the cost?
A: Fees for our Homeschool Experience are listed under our Notes tab on our Facebook page. Our future events will have fees listed with event description once these events are open to registration.
